I ate and reviewed The Grill, one of the most expensive and talked-about steakhouses in New York City, located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan.

Housed inside the historic dining room of the original Four Seasons Restaurant, The Grill is pure old-school New York glamour: soaring ceilings, mid-century elegance, impeccable service, and a menu built around classic American fine dining.

I put the hype to the test by trying some of their most iconic dishes, from prime steaks to signature sides and timeless desserts. The question was simple:
does The Grill actually live up to its reputation — or is it just nostalgia with a luxury price tag?

Here’s the short answer: this place isn’t trying to reinvent steakhouse culture. It’s preserving it — at the highest possible level.
