If pistachio is your weakness, Pistacchio Pane e Caffè deserves a spot on your Miami food list.
Located in Edgewater, Pistacchio describes itself as Miami’s first Neapolitan bakery built around one obsession: pistachio. Its kitchen prepares breads, cornetti, pastries, paninis, gelato and espresso fresh daily, with recipes inspired by Naples.
One of the signatures is the Cornetto al Pistacchio, made with 64 hand-folded layers and filled with pistachio cream prepared fresh every morning. There’s also the Pistacchione, a focaccia sandwich with Mortadella IGP, stracciatella, pistachio cream and crunchy pistachios.
And the pistachio obsession doesn’t stop there. You’ll find Cappuccino al Pistacchio, Tiramisù al Pistacchio, gelato made with Bronte pistachio paste, and even brioche filled with pistachio gelato.
The bakery says it imports 100% Pistacchio Verde di Bronte DOP from Sicily and makes its pistachio cream from scratch each morning, without artificial green coloring.
Behind the pastry program is Naples-trained Chef Marco Giugliano, with the bakery co-founded by Marco, Gerardo, Homero and Roberto.
